Overview
The individual version of ACSI’s Christian Philosophy of Education (CPoE) series is a fully self-paced, online learning experience designed for educators who need flexibility in completing the requirement.
In the 2026 update, we incorporated extensive user feedback from the 2023 courses to create a smoother, more engaging experience. Each course is now streamlined to 6 hours, allowing you to complete the full series (18 hours total) while still covering all essential concepts required by ACSI.
Who Should Choose the Individual Version?
The individual format is ideal when:
- You have fewer than 3 participants
- You need a flexible, self-paced option
- You prefer independent learning with guided support
This version includes:
- Interactive activities
- Reflection opportunities
- Online discussion boards to support application in your specific school context
Course Structure and Order
The CPoE series includes three courses:
- Worldview
- Foundations
- Biblical Integration
Important Update to Course Order:
In the previous version:
- Course 1 = Foundations
- Course 2 = Worldview
In the new version:
- Course 1 = Worldview
- Course 2 = Foundations
If you have already completed Foundations in the previous version, you do not need to retake it. Your completed coursework will still count. In that case, you may begin with Worldview and then continue to Biblical Integration.
Meeting ACSI’s CPoE Requirement
To fulfill the CPoE requirement, participants must:
- Complete all three courses (in any order)
- Within each course:
- Complete a pre-assessment
- Complete a post-assessment
- Submit a final project (an artifact)
For those applying for ACSI certification:
- Your final artifact will be included in your overall CPoE submission
- A school administrator must review and approve your work
- Final instructions are provided within Course 3: Biblical Integration
Once all three courses—Foundations, Worldview, and Biblical Integration—are completed (from either version), you may mark “Completed ACSI’s Online CPoE Course Series” in the CPoE section of your VPP, which will open a box where you can place your supervisor's name and email. This sends that person an email to verify your CPoE artifacts, which is the final step to marking your CPoE requirement as complete.
- The ACSI Certification Team will verify completion across both versions if applicable.
Participants may also complete the series to earn 18 CEUs, even if they are not applying for certification.
Access and Subscription
The individual version is included as part of an ACSI Online PD subscription, which provides access to 400+ hours of on-demand professional development content.
Key Benefits of the Individual Format
- Fully self-paced and flexible
- Designed for independent completion
- Engaging activities that support personal reflection and application
- Streamlined content that respects your time while maintaining depth
